Description
Join us on Tuesday, March 26 at 6 p.m. for the Vancouver launch of Amy Lin’s debut book, Here After, a poetic, raw depiction of an unlikely love followed by a dizzying loss.
Kirkus Reviews calls the book a “beautifully visceral and emotionally intimate depiction of young widowhood,” and we are so excited to share it with you at Upstart & Crow.
At this event, Lin will read from her book and then join author Tara McGuire in conversation. McGuire is the author of Holden After and Before, a moving meditation on grief.
Books will be available for purchase and signing. This is a free event, but please register for your spot at our Eventbrite, as capacity is limited.

Here After
“Here After is stunning–in the sense of leaving me stunned. I’ve never read a book that so directly translated grief into language. It is beautiful, crushing, and amazing, and I read it in a single breathless sitting.” — Catherine Newman, author of We All Want Impossible Things
