Description
We’re taking our Translation Book Club outdoors for a special summer bonus gathering at Kits Beach.
Join us for a beachside bash, featuring Waist Deep by Linea Maja Ernst, translated from Danish by Nicolette Sherilyn Hellberg.
Heralded as “The Quintessential Millennial Novel” by Vogue, this is a lush and delightfully messy summer read about friends, lovers, and friends’ lovers as they spend seven summer days in a lakehouse in Denmark. Oh, the drama!
We’ll be meeting outside Paradiso Caffe e Gelato at 1520 Yew St. at 6p.m., then walking over to Kits Beach Park. Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks!
You don’t need to have purchased the book from us to attend, but we’ll be offering a 10% discount on the title if you do. You can do so by selecting between two ticket options here.

“Clever, wry, and incredibly sexy” —Susannah Dickey, author of Tennis Lessons
“The kaleidoscopic novel heralded as the book of the summer” —Dazed
