On Sunday, January 25 at 6:30pm, we’re throwing a special launch party to celebrate litty!

Founded by Hamish Clark, Mark Perez and Sarchen Starke, litty.ca gathers the most trusted end-of-year book lists from critics, publishers, and reviewers, then brings them together in one place. No endless scrolling — just the books worth your time, all neatly in one spot.

We’re marking the occasion with free books, litty merch, linocut print-making, conversations and very strong opinions. Gear up for a night in celebration of good books and even better taste.

Hamish Clark

Hamish’s mom calls him a book savant. He calls it years of obsessive book spreadsheets. After years in publishing and now data science, one of those spreadsheets gained sentience and became litty.ca

Mark Perez

As a child, Mark would read in the dark before bed, causing severe nearsightedness and astigmatism. Later, he’d complete a degree in English and work in publishing, before transitioning to design.

Sarchen Starke

Originally from South Africa, Sarchen is a software developer who found coding at the intersection of creativity and logic. She’s a lifelong reader, always chipping away at her never-ending TBR.
