Note from the artist: “Although I don’t draw everyday, I draw regularly. Drawing has changed how I see. I notice more and I am more curious about what I do see. Sketchbook pages record places and times, the story of their maker’s environment, influences and interests over days or months. The sketchbook was made during the time the other pieces in the altered books installation were made. It adds context for the altered books as well as offering an important aspect of art practice.”
